Advisory board

The project is supported by two complementary boards:

– The crop advisory board (CAB)
– The stakeholder advisory board (SAB)

The crop advisory board (CAB) is composed of nine representatives with a strong expertise in agricultural plant science: e.g. breeders, researchers and plant geneticists. Each of them will bring a specific support to the consortium on one crop studied in the project and coordinate the consortium on the overall technical and scientific activities of the project at the crop level.

The stakeholder advisory board (SAB) provides the Coordinator and the ExCom of INVITE with scientific and strategic feedback from stakeholders regarding the project’s progress. It contributes to the overall fine-tuning of the project to improve outputs and to ensure that they are compatible with stakeholder needs and priorities, be they technical, commercial and economic or societal.
The SAB is composed of six members from relevant stakeholder group: e.g. international bodies, breeders, nurseries, farmers and representatives of farmers, certification offices, and post registration organisations.
